Stavbu do podmetu (ve dně úlu) provádí včelstvo zejména když pochybí včelař. Není to tedy chyba včelstva je tochyba včelaře že v dostatečném předstihu nerozšířil prostor v úlu o (nástavek, mezistěny, atd..) v době kdy má včelstvo vyvinutý silný stavební pud. Z tohoto důvodu je třeba s předstihem úl zvětšovat a do podmetu vkládat stavební zábranu.
